The first edition of the late Uncle Badou Jasseh tournament to be organised by Alhagi Jandi alias Papu is set to commence on 8 August 2014 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Speaking to reporters recently, Papu, as he is widely called, said the tournament would take place from 8 to 10 August 2014 at the East Park.
He stated that the competition targets 24 teams with players’ aged 13 years and below.
He said registration was due to commence last Friday and conclude on Wednesday 30 August 2014, adding that the registration had been made reasonable for teams.
The tournament, which will be held annually, is meant to develop Under-17 players across the country.
