Cannon FC will lock horns with Nguma FC in the first semi-final of the late Abdoulie Njie tournament at the Serrekunda Lower Basic School football field today at 3pm.
Cannon FC made it to the semi-final after collecting nine points in four games while Nguma FC bagged seven points in four encounters.
Culture FC, who secured a qualification berth to the semis with ten points, will take on Pencha Bi FC nine-points in the second semi-final of the championship in the 5pm encounter on the same day.
The tournament is organised by Mustapha Drammeh, the Programme Officer for Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation, in memory of Nguma FC's late player Abdoulie Njie, who passed away in June this year during his side's friendly game against Real de Banjul at the Seaview field.
The late Njie scored the only goal of the game for his side in the 20th minute of the game but collapsed two minutes later and was pronounced dead.
Omar Koroma, Gambian International player and former Portsmouth striker, sponsored the tournament.
