Sanyang alias Lilly boy, a Gambian rap artiste in Gunjur, Kombo South, has
adopted Gambian’s Kora icon Jaliba Kuyateh as his adviser.
Lilly
boy and his fans club members led by sister Sandan Darboe, on Sunday paid a
courtesy on Jaliba Kuyateh at his compound in Brikama Nyambai.
Lilly
boy and his fans club members were received by the wife of Jaliba Kuyateh,
Fatoumatta Jaliba Kuyateh.
Speaking
to entertainment and lifestyle, Sadan Darboe, a member of Lilly boy’s fans
club, said their mission to Brikama Nyambai was to adopt Jaliba Kuyateh as
Lilly boy’s adviser, adding that Jaliba would aid Lilly boy to improve his
career in the country’s industry.
For
his part, Jaliba Kuyateh said he was glad for Lilly boy to adopt him as his
adviser.
Jaliba
said that Lilly boy was not the first musician to adopt him as his adviser,
noting that there a lot of musicians who adopted him as adviser in recent
years.
According
to Jaliba, music is universal and needs respect and expressed his readiness to
help Lilly boy in order for the young artiste to realize his aspirations.
