Lamin United have extended their lead in the 2012-2013 GFA second division league after beating Latrikunda United 1-0 in the week-two fixtures played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
Lamin United came into the game with 3 points after their 2-1 win over Serrekunda East in the opening day of the new season, whilst Latrikunda United came into the game with zero point following their recent defeat to Serrekunda United.
It was Lamin United who were able to capitalize on their limited goal-scoring opportunities and managed to notch one goal, which eventually proved to be the winner for the West Coast Region outfit.
The victory put Lamin United on top of the league table with maximum points in two outings.
Latrikunda United are still rooted at the bottom of the league table with zero point in two games and will be hoping for a win in their remaining league games in order to move away from relegation zone as well as keeping their hopes of gaining promotion to premier tier next season.
