Lamin Cissokho to perform live at Alliance Franco

Lamin Cissokho, an international musician from Cassamance, is in the country to entertain kora lovers as well as to promote his 11-track album.

The international musician will perform on Friday 16 December live.  On Saturday 17 December, the only Gambian female international kora player will also perform at the same venue.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment on Thursday at The Point offices, Brigitte Fessmann GF/CEO of Stone, Art and Sound, who came from Australia, said her main purpose in The Gambia is to promote Lamin Cissokho’s album, to meet with some Gambian musicians as well as to learn more about the African culture.

She said that from The Gambia they would move to Dakar to promote the album.

“I have learnt a lot of African culture,” he said. “Lamin’s music is very nice and his music can represent Africa to the world.”
