Kombo South District tournament update

The 2012-2013 Kombo South district football tournament meant to nurture and develop young talents, as well as fostering understanding among youths in the district, continued to gather pace at the weekend.

Tanji have registered their first victory in the tournament after a slender 1-0 win over Nyofelleh in group C at the Jambanjelly football field on Friday.

Sifoe have maintained their unbeaten run in the tournament after a goalless draw against Banyaka in group A at the Jambanjelly football field on Saturday.

Kartong’s poor run has continued in the competition after a disappointed goalless draw against Jambur in group A at the Tujereng football field on Sunday.

Despite their goalless draw against Banyaka, Sifoe are still leading group A with 4 points in two outings, Banyaka and Jambur are occupying 2nd position with 2 points each in two encounters, while Kartong are rooted at the bottom of the group A with a single point in two games.

Farato are topping group B with maximum 3 points in one match followed by Jambanjelly and Tujereng in 2nd position with single point each in one game. Mamuda are languishing at the bottom of group B with zero point in single game.

Tanji are leading group C with maximum 3 points in a single game; Berending and Batokunku are occupying 2nd position with single point each in one game, while Nyofelleh are rocked bottom with zero point in single game.
