Kombo East NAM passes away

Reports reaching The Point have confirmed that Hon. Lamin Bojang, National Assembly Member for Kombo East, passed away Saturday afternoon.

The body of Bojang, who reportedly died at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital in Banjul, will be laid at the National Assembly today Monday at 10 am for members to pay their last respects to the departed soul.

His demise came barely a month after the death of another member of parliament, Hon. Bekai Camara, member for Wuli East constituency, who passed away on Sunday, March 6th 2011.

Prior to his election to parliament as National Assembly Member for Kombo East, in 2007, the late Hon. Lamin Bojang worked with the Medical Research Council for 10 years.

Bojang also worked with the Gambia Public Transport Corporation, worked in the fishing industry from 1978 to the 1993, and at the National Partnerships Enterprise from 1981 to 1983.
