Kitty have been crowned champions of the 2015 Kombo Central district football tournament, following their 3-1 penalty shootout win over Manduar, after a 1-all draw in regulation time in a well-attended game played at the Busura football field at the weekend.
Manduar opened the scores through Lamin L. Bojang in the early part of the first half to give his side the lead.
Kitty responded and leveled the scores through Peter Mendy before the break, to cancel Lamin L. Bojang’s early minutes strike.
This pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout, which ended 3-1 in favour of Kitty.
As champions, Kitty went home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D10,000; Manduar received D7,000 as runners-up.
