The
annual inter-house athletics championship of Khalid Bin Walid Arabic in Gunjur,
Kombo South District of the West Coast Region, is set for today, Thursday 2
February 2017, at the Comium Park opposite Gunjur Car Park.
Four
houses, namely Ostas Ismaila Manneh, Ostas Muhammed Lamin Touray, Ostas Essa
Darboe and Ostas Fafoday-Ring Darboe will be contending for the school’s annual
biggest sporting event title.
Athletes
from the four participating houses will compete in various events during the
championship, expected to attract spectators from Gunjur and environs.
The
annual athletics championship is meant to foster unity and understanding among
students and also groom, nurture, promote and develop young talented athletes
in the school.
