Over 50 golfers, including 8 professionals contested for the J.P. Chenet sponsored competition at the Fajara Golf Course yesterday Sunday 14th February 2010.
On a beautiful day, the proceedings began with a longest drive competition for the professionals. They had already played their main competition on Saturday.
The best professional was Fakebba Drammeh, alias Tiger Wood with a one over par 70.
Gibou Jallow and Yusupha Tamba, both scored 74. On Sunday Gibou Jallow scored a great 4 under par 65.
The Fajara Golf Club played Stableford scoring which allows for the odd indiscretion. Club Chairman Alan Collins won the men category.
Other winners were Charles Lee, Sharon Mears, John Jr Kuo, Graham Birse, Pierre Sarr and Ronaldo Delgreco.
Next week the British High Commission will host a tournament, which will also see the inauguration of a golf and tennis academy for Gambian school children.
