The foundation stone for the construction of 3 classroom block, office space, 4 toilet, kitchen and perimeter fence for Early Childhood Development Centre was recently laid at Jokadou Dasilami, in the North Bank Region.
This development formed part of the numerous contributions of NORA Friends in Norway in complementing government efforts in providing support to the community.
The alkalo of the village, Kebba Lang Fofana, thanked the donor for their generosity in promoting the education of children.
While stating that education is fundamental in human development, he assured them of their continuous collaboration to ensure the implementation of the project. As he puts it, the centre would support parents to enroll their children at a tender age.
Speaking on behalf of the officials of NORA Friends in Norway, Seble Gifleh thanked the community of Dasilami for their support and cooperation in the execution of water project.
She said her association attaches great important to education, that’s why they decided to initiate the project to complement government efforts in the field of education.
According to her, the provision of such facility would contribute immensely in enhancing quality education and human resource development.
