The national chairman and party leader of the ruling APRC, President Yahya Jammeh, “has decided to pardon all those party members who were expelled from the APRC for standing against nominated APRC candidates in elections”.

A press release from the APRC bureau added that, “in the same vein, those who were expelled for supporting such renegade candidates are also pardoned.

“Henceforth, all such individuals are welcome back to the party, and are equally free to participate in all APRC functions and events”, the release added.

“We wish to warn those pardoned to desist from such acts of insubordination, and urge them to adhere to the party’s rules and regulations, because any further infringements of the party rules and regulations will result in final expulsion without pardon.

“All party members are urged to continue to maintain loyalty and discipline, which are the hallmarks of this great party”, the release further stated.

It was signed by Momodou Sabally as secretary-general of the APRC party.
