President
Yahya Jammeh has hailed the people of Lower River Region for their unflinching
support to his leadership and the APRC.
He
vowed to transform the entire constituency of Jarra West with descent portable
water and uninterrupted electricity supply.
He
also promised to build major health centres for Jappineh and Kabada to connect
the two communities with a first-class road facility to ease travelling time
and save lives.
In
her remarks, Minister for Basic and Secondary Education Fatou Lamin Faye said
in the not too distant future, the community of Jappineh would have its own
senior school to stem the flow of students travelling all the way to Soma.
In
Soma, President Jammeh hinted that some Western powers have a one-sided
approach towards African states, as well as their attempted and failed plan to
wreak havoc on the country on numerous occasions.
He
said his “presidency is ordained and sealed by God”, and destabilizing it would
be a non-starter.
President
Jammeh urged the young people to exploit the positive side of the social media,
and stop misusing it for what he called sinful acts.
