newly-promoted side Fortune and relegated side Banjul have secured big wins in
the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation second division league after hammering
Kexx FC and BK Milan in their week-two fixtures played on Friday.
Fortune
FC walloped Kexx FC 4-0 in the all-West Coast Region derby fixtures played at
the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium to maintain their unbeaten run in the second
tier.
Banjul
United smashed BK Milan on the same score-line at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium
to also maintain their unbeaten record in the second tier.
Bakau
United drew goalless with Lions of Banjul at the Independence Stadium in Bakau
on the same day.
In
other scores, Interior thrashed Serrekunda East Bi 3-1 at the Serrekunda East
Mini Stadium; Red Hawks beat Waa Banjul 1-0 at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium
to maintain their hundred percent recover in the second tier.
Relegated
side Wallidan lost to Brufut United 1-0 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau;
Young Africans defeated Blue Star 2-1 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.
