Jammeh Grants Amnesty to 14 Prisoners

President Yahya Jammeh on Thursday 2ndOctober 2008 granted remission of the remaining unserved sentences of imprisonment of the following people: Bully Bojang, Manyima Hydara, Amie Jabang, Adama Gaye, Abdoulie Camara, Ousman Sanyang, Ebrima Secka, Muhammed Banura and Pa Chaw, all Gambians.

Mansour Diop and Vieux Diadiou, Senegalese nationals; Mamadou Lamine Ba, Baboucarr Barry natives of Guinea Conakry and Bullose Mendy a Guinea Bissau national.

According to reports monitored on GRTS, the foreign nationals who have benefited from a remission of their remaining sentences are to be deported to their counties of origin.
