Interior FC on Friday thrashed Nema United FC 2-0 in week three of the 2008-09 GFA Second Division league at Brikama Mini Stadium to join Young Africans and Serrekunda East on top of the table.
The keenly contested game which ended 2-0 in favour of Interior FC , saw Nema United dominating the ball possession in the first 45 minutes as the first half ended in a stalemate.
As action resumed in the second half, Interior FC who were following shadows in the first 45 minutes, picked up their form In the 48 minutes of the game, when striker Modou Jobe was sent off for unsportsmanlike play.
InteriorFC open the scores through striker Seedy Saidy in the 50thminute of the game and Modou Nyang double the score in the 58 from penalty spot after Striker Seedy Saidy was brought down in the eighteen yard box.
Nema United FC made a spectacular came back and create clear goal scoring opportunity but they can hit the back of the net and the game ended 2-0 in favour Interior FC.
Meanwhile , in the other week three clash GPA drew 0-0 with Young Africans at Serrekunda East Mini Stadium,Jambanjelly defeated Lamin FC 1-0 at Brikama Mini Stadium, Serrekunda East defeated Serrekunda United 1-0 at Serrekunda East Mini Stadium while Kaira Salo lost Ham Ham 2-0 at Brikama Mini Stadium.
