Impersonator convicted

One Abdou Faye was recently convicted and sentenced to a fine of D10, 000, in default to serve four years in prison by the Brikama Magistrates' Court for impersonation.

According to the particulars of offence, the convict, Abdou Faye on 7th July 2010, at the Banjul International Airport presented a Senegalese passport to the profiling officer at the Morocco Airline, bearing the name of Abdou Jarra with intent to travel to Spain.
