The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has said it will issue out nomination forms to prospective candidates for Bwiam Ward by-election from Monday 15 June to Thursday 9 July 2015.
This will be followed by nomination of candidates on Thursday 9 July 2015, according to a press release sent to this paper yesterday.
The release, signed by IEC Chairman Alhagie Mustapha L. Carayol, stated further: “The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) will conduct a by-election to fill the vacant seat of Councilor for Bwiam Ward in the Brikama Area Council on Thursday 23 July 2015.
“Nomination of Candidates will be held on Thursday 9 July 2015. As a result, Nomination Forms will be issued out to prospective candidates from Monday 15 June to Thursday 9 July 2015.
“These forms are free of charge and can be collected from Election House at Bertil Harding Highway or IEC Brikama Regional Office.”
