One Abdourahman Badjie, a butcher, has confessed to stealing only two goats, not six, as alleged.

Mr Badjie was arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court on an allegation of stealing six goats.

According to the charge sheet, Mr Badjie on or about 3rd December 2008 stole six goats at Lamin, valued at D16, 500 being the property of one Fakebba Ceesay.

He told the court that the goats he stole belonged to one Katam and not the defendant Fakebba Ceesay.

He was however denied bail by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh and remanded in custody.

The case will continue on 21st April 2009.
