Gunjur have withdrawn from the 2012-2013 Kombo South district football tournament due to serious financial constraints, and many football fans in Gunjur blame GYSDA for withdrawing the team from the 2012 -2013 Kombo South district football tournament.
Gunjur’s participation for the 2013-2014 late Kajali Badjie and late Ismaila Nyassi Kombo South district tournament was announced at the GYSDA executive meeting held on 26 December 2013 at the Gunjur Day Care Centre.
Gunjurians at home and in the Diaspora have criticized GYSDA for Gunjur’s failure to participate in the 2012-2013 Kombo South district football tournament.
According to GYSDA, Gunjur will take part in the 2013-2014 late Kajali Badjie and late Ismaila Nyassi Kombo South district football tournament.
GYSDA is calling on all Gunjurians at home and in the Diaspora to come out in their large numbers to render massive support to the team financially and morally.
