Gunjur Kunkujang came from two-nil down to draw 2-2 with Banyaka in the 2013-2014 late Kajali Badjie and late Ismaila Nyassi Kombo South District football play-off tie played at the Jambanjelly Football Field on Sunday.

Banyaka were absolutely astonishing in the first period as they created numerous goal-scoring opportunities and managed to notch in two brilliant goals but threw their lead away in the later part of the game.

Gunjur Kunkujang, who were trailing 2-0, came all out for an equalizer and boosted their chances of reaching the quarterfinal.

They mounted heavy pressure on Banyaka and caused serious assaults at their goal mouth, and eventually leveled the score to share the spoils.

The draw has earned Gunjur Kunkujang 2 points in two games following their 1-all draw with Berending in their previous playoff played at the Sifoe Football Field recently, while Banyaka and Berending are with a single point each in one outing.

Banyaka will now clash with Berending in their final play-off tie and the club with the highest number of points will qualify for the quarterfinal.

It would be recalled that Banyaka were disqualified from the Kombo South district football tournament after using unqualified players during their semi-final tie against Tujereng last season.
