The most anticipated 2012-2013 Gunjur Knockout final is billed for tomorrow, 16 February 2013, at the Gunjur Nymina Football Field at 4.30 pm.
The game, which will feature two household names in Gunjur - Nawettan Nyokoyorr FC and Kulukochi United FC, is considered by many football fans in Gunjur and its satellite areas as an interesting clash.
Tomorrow’s meeting will be the second of both sides in the Gunjur Nawettan since their last meeting in the 2010-2011 Nawettan season, which ended 1-1 draw and handed Nyokoyorr a place in the quarterfinal whilst Kulukochi United went out of the nawettan.
Nyokoyorr will fight tooth and nail for victory to lift their first-ever trophy in Gunjur Nawettan after losing to Oxford United FC in the 2009 league final on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time, as well as bring their trophy draught to an end.
Kulukochi United, on the other hand, who made their first appearance in Gunjur Knockout final this year, will be out for a surprise.
Nyokoyorr FC sailed to the final after their opponents Manchester United FC came to the field with five illegal players and the committee decided to give victory to Nyokoyorr, whilst Kulukochi United progressed to the final after their 1-0 win over Turkey United FC.
