The 2011-2012 Gunjur Knockout championship will reach its climax tomorrow, 10 March 2012, at the town’s biggest football arena, the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field.
The much-awaited knockout final will feature two heavyweights: the cellular boys Gamcel FC and Lanuja FC.
Gamcel FC, who eliminated Lanuja FC in the league semifinal on post-match penalty shootout after a goalless draw in the regulation will be in for replicating the same result over the opponents.
They sailed to the final following their 1-0 win against last year’s league champions Commit FC in the semifinal courtesy of a Yusupha Barrow strike.
Lanuja FC made it after their 2-0 win over Solifo Investment FC in the semifinal with goals scored by Amat Darboe and Basiru Touray.
