The
annual Gunjur athletics championship is set for Friday 16 September 2016, at
the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field.
The
annual championship, organised by Gunjur Athletics Association in collaboration
with Gunjur Sports Committee, is meant to raise funds for Gunjur’s
participation in the 2016 Super Nawettan zonal football championship set for
next month.
Four
companies participated in the previous competition, and the first edition was
won by Gunjur Radio Station Jannehkoto FM in 2013.
Kombo
Real Estate Company Limited won the second edition in 2014, whilst Gunjur Radio
Station Jannehkoto FM won the third edition in 2015.
Ticket
for the annual championship is pegged at D10, at the gate.
