Guinean in court for alleged theft

One Alpha Jallow, a Guinean national, was Monday arraigned before Magistrate Babucarr Secka of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing.

The particulars of offence read that the accused, Alpha Jallow, on 5 April 2013, at Old Yundum, stole one laptop valued at D3,500, cash amount of D745, and one bed sheet valued at D200.

He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D10,000 with a Gambian surety who must swear to an affidavit of means and deposit an ID card.

The case was then adjourned till 29 May 2013.
