Guaranty Trust Bank The Gambia Limited has
presented the first set of prizes to winners of its Save and Win promo.
The prizes, which include two categories of
customers, were won by 13 customers.
Category one includes customers who
maintain a closing balance of between D10,000 and D50,000 in their accounts for
3 months, and are entitled to prizes such as 2 bags of rice, 1 gallon of
vegetable oil (20 litres) and a bag of onions.
Category two includes customers who
maintain a closing balance of above D50,000 in their accounts for 3 months, and
are entitled to prizes such as Fridge freezer, 32” LED TV, and Smart Phone.
The first set of prizes were presented on
Friday 15 July to the lucky winners who included Aderonke Adepeju Oduto, Ansel
Dacosta, Sheriff Jamanka, Ousman Manjang, Alphones Secka, Prince Daniel Antika,
Alhagie Momodou (for category one), whilst category two included Ebrima Badjie
(Smart Phone), and Ida Combeh Manneh (32” TV).
According to GTBank’s head of corporate
affairs, Dodou Bojang, the draw for the winners was done among over 6000
qualified customers. “Therefore you can count yourselves lucky,” he told the
winners, who received their prizes at GTBank head office on Kairaba Avenue.
In his remarks, GTBank MD/CEO Bolaji
Ayodele said the idea of introducing the GTBank Save and Win deposit
mobilization campaign was triggered by the fact that GTBank, being a leading
financial intermediary in the industry, is out to encourage the culture of saving,
especially among the unbanked population of the country.
The campaign, he added was also initiated
to give back to their customers, who are stakeholders of the bank.

mobilization campaign has a lot of goods and value for GTBank customers and the
unbanked in the country, he said, adding that the prizes given to the winners
are simply a fulfilment of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility pledge as
a corporate citizen of The Gambia.
He said another draw will be done among
qualified customers in the next three months (October) to get winners who will
receive valuable prizes.
“And the finale draw will be done at the
end of the year to get winners for the grand prizes,” MD Bolaji said.
Prizes for the grand finale include: 1st
prize a Hyundai Accent; 2nd prize, Return ticket to Dubai with US$2,000 travel
money, and 3rd Prize a Sitting Room Sofa set.
To qualify for the grand finale, the GTBank
MD added, customers of the bank must have a minimum closing balance of D500,000
or more for the duration of the promo.
