GPA worker granted D10M bail

One Jahou Jammeh, an employee of the Gambia Ports Authority, GPA, was last Thursday granted bail of ten million dalasi with two Gambian sureties with landed property within the Greater Banjul Area.

The bail condition further stipulated that she should also surrender all her travel documents to the court.

The accused person, Jahou Jammeh, was arraigned at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul, charged with economic crimes, which she denied.

It was alleged that while in the employment of the GPA, she caused the loss of D6.6 million, being the property of the GPA.

The case was adjourned till 21st February 2012.
