MLS clubs returned to work last weekend after taking a couple of weeks off for the World Cup group stage.

Kyle McCarthy sorts through the new evidence offered as teams took to the field and used the information to pull Week 13 edition of the Goal.com Major League Soccer Rankings.

Emmanuel Gomez and Amadou Sanyang's Toronto FC made a great conquest after falling on 6th position behind leaders LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Columbus, New York and Colorado.

The smart performance suggests that Toronto FC will set a new club record by extending their unbeaten streak to seven matches when Houston visits on Thursday night.

Omar Jassey San Jose Earthquakes maintained its seventh place.

Sanna Nyassi's Seattle Sounders who were 8th settled for 11th this week. For a team with its ambition and its talent, Sounders FC simply must do better. Even if it inexplicably continues to miss its penalty kicks.

The poorest record among the Gambian pros in the MLS is that of New England.  Sainey Nyassi and Ken Abdoulie Mansally Revs have what it looks like a bad result so far.

With a trip to Real Salt Lake and a visit by Los Angeles on the docket for the next two games, things will likely get worse before they get better in Revolution-land. They came out 14 moving two steps back from their previous rank.
