GIFTS a well-known and high standard gym which helps its members in terms of developing a better body shape, as well as energy and power to carry on their daily activities, is set to establish a boxing club at its training centre, according to a trainer there, Paul Pedro Manneh.
The 33-year-old boxing coach, who has accumulated a wealth of international experience in boxing, in an interview with Pointsport at the GIFTS Training Centre in Kanifing yesterday revealed plans by Saul Sowe, the proprietor of the training centre to establish a boxing club in order to expose boxers to a high boxing standard.
"We are planning to set up a boxing club, probably next week and we are targeting boxers from the age of 7 years and above, ranging from both the male and female categories," Manneh told this reporter.
"At the moment, people training in the GIFTS gym are joining the club, who are expected to form part of the boxing club," Manneh who traveled on two occasions to partake in Commonwealth and Zanoca games in India and Mali in 2006 and 2008, was quoted as saying by our reporter.
