Real
de Banjul Football Club will embark on its first countrywide tour on Tuesday,
July 12 in the North Bank Region.
To commemorate the club’s 50-years of
existence, the 12-time Gambian champions are paying homage to the country
through a nationwide tour across all the regions in the country.
A 40-man delegation that includes 24 players
will depart the capital early Tuesday morning for a test match with the North
Bank Region football team in Farafenni.
The delegation will then leave NBR to travel
to the Central River Region where a game is scheduled to take place in Bansang
before moving to the Upper River Region to play in Basse on July 13 and 14
respectively.
The team will then leave for the Lower River
Region where it will play a team in Soma, matches in the Banjul City Council,
Kanifing Municipal Council and West Coast Region on July 14-17.
The kickoff time of all matches is scheduled
for 16:30 GMT (4:30pm) or 17:00 GMT (5:00pm).
