The independent flag-bearer of the coalition on Wednesday held mass meetings in Jarra and Kiang.

Speaking in Jarra Barrow Kunda village, the coalition leader Adama Barrow said the opposition alliance will fully utilize the experience of the group and transform the country.

He promised to form a government of technocrats.

“I appeal to our supporters to expand our campaign in your homes, and that there is no room for complacency,” he said.

The coalition leaders called for unity among Gambians.

In Jappineh, Barrow said the development of the country is the responsibility of every Gambian.

Omar Jallow alias O.J, said due to the country’s economic condition, the youths have embarked on the back-way journey to Europe in search of greener pastures.

In Jarra Soma, Barrow said: “I am inspired by the support received across the country.”

He promised to work hard for the development of the country.

Halifa Sallah, a member of the coalition, urged the electorate not to underestimate the power of the ballot box.

Dr Isatou Touray, another member of the coalition, used the occasion to urge the youths and women to rally behind Barrow, and to vote for him.

Dr Touray expressed her dismay about how Gambia has been alienated from the rest of the world by the Gambia government.

She said: “We live in a global world, and should foster relationships with other nations for mutual benefit.”
