The Scorpions are bracing up against Taifa Stars in the 2014 Global biggest football showdown qualifiers set for Saturday 7 September 2013, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The Scorpions lost to Taifa Stars FC 2-1 in Daru Salaam in the first leg last year and are also currently languishing at the bottom of their 2014 Africa World Cup qualifiers after losing to Ivory Coast 3-0 on 23 March 2013 in Abidjan and 3-0 on 8 June 2013 in Banjul, before losing to Morocco in Rabat on 15 June 2013.
The Scorpions are yet to snatch a win in the global biggest football fiesta since the start of the qualifiers last year and will be hoping for a win against Taifa Stars on Saturday to improve their position in Africa and Global ranking.
The Taifa Stars are occupying second position from bottom with 6 points in five games and both sides will also be playing for pride as Ivory Coast have topped the group with 13 points in five games.
