The
Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has announced that two of its Nawetan Centres
in Bakau and Gunjur have benefitted from cash donation from the GFF.
Bakau Interim Sports Committee received a cheque for D250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand dalasis) and the Gunjur Sports Committee got D150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand dalasi) by the Super Nawetan Committee, a media release issued by GFF publicity/marketing officer has said.
Both donations were earmarked for the development of the playing grounds manned by the two sports committees, it added.
The presentations were done at the GFF Secretariat in Kanifing under the auspices of GFF president Lamin Kabba Bajo and members of the GFF.
The donations were made against the backdrop of developing grassroots football as contained in the GFF executive’s strategic football development programme, concluded the release.
