GFF 1st Division Round 1 winds up Midweek

The 2013-2014 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) division one league first round will wrap up midweek with thrilling and exciting encounters in Banjul, Serrekunda East and Brikama.

Interior will clash with Armed Forces in the all-security derby in the week-eleven fixtures today, Wednesday 19 March 2014, at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Interior are 6th position with 12 points in ten games and will be expecting a win to keep their chances of staying in the top tier next season.

Armed Forces are 10th position with 10 points in ten games and will be looking to bounce back after a 3-1 leg up against current league leaders Real De Banjul in the week-ten fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium at the weekend.

Elsewhere, Samger will host league champions Steve Biko at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on the same day, both Samger and Steve Biko will be hoping to recover after losing to Brikama United and Gambia Ports Authority in the week-ten fixtures at the weekend.

On Thursday 20 March 2014, Bakau United will battle it out with current league leaders Real De Banjul, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Brikama United are struggling second from bottom with 10 points in ten games and will be searching a win to move away from relegation zone as well as fancying their chances of clinching their first-ever GFF division one league title.

Real De Banjul are leading the league table with 19 points in ten games and are making all efforts to snatch a win against Bakau United to salvage their lead at the top of the summit.

Elsewhere, Wallidan will play against Banjul United in the other week-eleven fixtures at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on the same day.

Wallidan are 3rd position with 15 points in ten games and Banjul United are 7th position with 11 points in ten games.

Both sides will be hoping to bounce back after losing to Gamtel and Interior at the weekend.
