In our effort to improve the standards of refereeing in The Gambia, and to encourage strict adherence and interpretation of the laws of the game, the Gambia Football Association (GFA) will from 1-6 April 2010, organise a one week Basic Referee Course, at the Rural Development Institute (RDI) in MansaKonko.
During the period, the GFA referees' instructors will present to the participants materials concerning the laws of the game, with some practical sessions. The participants will also go through intense physical examination during the MansaKonko training programme.
Gambia Football Association (GFA) attaches great importance to training and technical development of referees, coaches and other areas, such as sport medicine and football administration, and the Lower River Region training of referees attest to this commitment.
Seedy Buwa Kinteh, the President of Gambia Football Association (GFA) will make a statement at the opening ceremony of the course.
