The Gambia Football Association (GFA) on Saturday signed a MoU with Italian counterparts, the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC), also known as Federcalcio, to strengthen Gambian football, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau during Gambia-Morocco game.
After signing their signatures on the document, Alieu Kebba Jammeh, Minister of Youth and Sports, said the MoU will open up a lot of opportunities for Gambian football in terms of coach training, camps and strengthening the medical and technical departments of the GFA.
With the signing of the MoU, the U-17 female team might go for camping in
Luigi Repacce, President of Combitato Regional de Umbria, revealed to journalists that they would offer training on instruction for instructors and training of trainers.
He said: “The Italian Federation of Football is very happy to assist The Gambia in this sector like how they collaborate with other countries to open the relationship with friends.
“It will help to find out ways to make the game a better one in order to be very useful to the young people.”
