Real De Banjul’s title ambition has suffered yet another setback after a goalless draw against city rivals Wallidan in the week twenty-one fixtures of the GFA division one league at the Banjul KG5 Mini-stadium on Sunday.

On the same day, relegation threatened Africell thrashed academy boys Samger 2-0 at the Independence Stadium to boost up their chance of escaping demotion.

Previous league champions Gambia Ports Authority beat struggling Interior 1-nil in the other week twenty-one fixtures played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

Elsewhere, Armed Forces were held to a 1-1 draw by Bakau United in the other week twenty-one fixtures played at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.

Real De Banjul are 2nd position on the league standings with 39 points in twenty-one games with a single game to go, while Wallidan are 5th position on the league table with 25 points in twenty-one games.

Africell are still rooted at the bottom of the league table with 18 points in twenty-one games, while Samger are 9th position on the league table with 22 points in twenty-one games.

Gambia Ports Authority are 3rd position on the league standings with 34 points in twenty-one games, and Interior lie 2nd from bottom on the league standings with 18 points in twenty-one games.

While Armed Forces are 4th position on the league standings with 30 points in twenty-one games, Bakau United are 8th position on the table with 22 points in twenty-one games.
