GCAA in 2015 NISA Competition, which commences today

The National Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) will today compete in the 2015 National Inter-departmental Sports (NISA) Competition to be held in St. Louis, in Senegal.

The runners-up, GCAA, represents the crowned champions, Gambia Armed Forces, at the competition along with seven Senegalese teams, marking the 6th annual competition since the inception of the association.

The Gambia won three trophies out of five competitions, with the Gambia Immigration Department winning the third trophy in 2010.The Gambia Armed Forces won the first trophy in 2012 in Diourbel, Senegal, and in Banjul in 2013 consecutively.

The Gambian team led by its delegation arrived in St. Louis last night, ready to secure its fourth trophy for the nation.

The competition is expected to be held over the weekend and the delegation is expected back home on Sunday 11th January 2015.
