Gamtel/Gamcel Male Volleyball Team defeated Olympafrica Centre/Serrekunda East Male Volleyball Team by three sets to one set in Saturday clash at the Gambia Senior Secondary School Volleyball Lawn.
The victory is second victory so far for the telecommunication side in the National Volleyball League.
Alagie Babou Joof, the Head Coach of Olympafrica Centre/Serrekunda East Volleyball Team said his side was better than Gamtel/Gamcel Volleyball Team, despite loosing to them.
He urged his players to push forward so that they can collect maximum three points in their next game and capitalise on their chances.
Sanu Secka, the team captain for Gamtel/Gamcel Volleyball Team who is delighted at the victory ascribed the credit to intensive preparedness for the game.
Sanu also stated that Olympafrica Centre/Serrekunda East Volleyball Team is a very good side with young determined and talented players, who only need to focus on the game.
He said Olympafrica Centre/ Serrekunda East have a fighting spirit and ready to compete.
The determined team captain is aware of another task ahead, as the side will take on neighbours Interior in their next game.
"We will strongly contend this match with Interior for the league," he concluded.
