Three-time FA Cup champions Gamtel will rub shoulders with current relegated side Seaview in the 2013 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) FA Cup final tomorrow at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4.30pm.

Gamtel beat Seaview in both legs in the 2012-2013 Gamtel-Gamcel-sponsored GFF division one league and Seaview will be hoping for a revenge to win their first-ever FA Cup title.

The telecommunications giants, who have won the FA Cup three consecutive times - in 2010, 2012 and 2013, sailed to the FA Cup final after thumping second tier Serrekunda United 3-0 in the semi-final courtesy of Foday Trawally’s hat-trick to earn the telecom giants a place in the final for the fifth consecutive time, after losing to Young Africans on penalties in the 2009 FA Cup final.

Gamtel, who surrendered the league title to Bakau giant killers Steve Biko in the final day of the season after losing 1-0 to 2011-2012 league champions Real De Banjul, will fight tooth and nail for a win to retain the FA Cup title for the fourth consecutive time as well as keeping their chance of playing in the CAF second tier football club competition next season.

Seaview were relegated to the second tier after finishing second from bottom of the national league standings with 26 points in twenty-two games.

They have now sealed a place in the FA Cup final after their penalty shootout win over current league champions Steve Biko in the semifinal following a goalless draw in the regulation time, which has brought about their first appearance in the FA Cup final since the inception of the club in early 2000.

They will be expecting a victory to clinch their first-ever GFF FA Cup title after their dismal performance in the 2012-2013 GFF division one league which resulted into their relegation to the second tier.
