Gamtel
are currently flopping in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic
division one league following their recent slump in the league campaign after a
woeful start to the country’s top flight league campaign.
Gamtel,
who won the 2014-2015 domestic division one league title for the first time in
their history, are occupying second place from bottom in the top flight league
after snatching only 5 points in seven league games.
The
telecommunications giants managed to secure only one victory, two draws and
five defeats since the start of the country’s top flight football league season
in November 2016.
Gamtel
are hoping to recover in the top flight
when league matches resume after the current political impasse in the country,
to move away from relegation zone and stay in the top flight next season as
well as avoid relegation to the second division.
