Cellular boys Gamcel FC on Sunday beat Kayoungkalorn FC 1-0 in the second semi-final game to progress to the 2013-2014 Gunjur Knockout final.

The cellular boys proved to be the better side in the game and created numerous goal-scoring opportunities but fired all their chances into the bush.

Kayoungkalorn, on the other hand, created few goal-scoring opportunities but also failed to capitalize on them thus the first half ended goalless.

Upon resumption of the game, Gamcel picked up where they left in the first period and mounted heavy pressure on Kayounglorn’s defence line, creating several goal-scoring opportunities.

Gamcel opened the tally through prolific striker Yusupha Barrow in the 60th minute of the game from a clever finish from Siaka Saidy’s brilliant cross to give his side the lead after a deadlock in the first period, This Saidy-Barrow effort eventually proved to be the winner for the cellular boys.

Kayounkalorn responded back quickly for an equalizer and created some goal-scoring opportunities but were all denied by Gamcel’s formidable defence, thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of the cellular boys.

Gamcel will now fight with debutants Alex Sanchaba FC in the 2013-2014 Gunjur Knockout final at a date to be announced later.
