Worldwatch Institute's State of the World 2011 shows agriculture innovation is key to reducing poverty, stabilizing climate

The Department of State for Youths and Sports yesterday benefited from a handsome donation of three motor-bikes from the government of The Gambia.
The donated items will be distributed to three regional sports coordinators. The beneficiaries were Western Region, Central River Region and North Bank Region.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, held at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, the Secretary of State for Youths and Sports, Secy Mass Axi Gye urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the donated items.
He appealed to the director of youths and sports to make sure that the donated items are properly taken care of.
Malang Jasseh, the Director Youths and Sports, assured Secy Gye that the donated items would also reduce transportation constraints for the regional sports coordinators in their respective areas.
For his part, the permanent secretary at the department for youths and sports, Mr. Mam Mbanyick Njie, said the donation would aid regional sports coordinators in their endeavor to realise their dreams and aspirations. He hailed the government of The Gambia for their tremendous contribution towards the development of sports in The Gambia.
