The
Gambia WAFU squad recently hampered Jarra Soma Best Eleven 5-0 in a warm-up
game played at the Jarra Soma Mini Stadium.
The
game was part of The Gambia’s preparations for the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations to
be hosted in Ghana next month.
With
goals from Pa Omar Jobe, alias Drogba, Yankuba Jarjue alias Torres, Ebou Kanteh
and Yankuba Jallow with a brace, The Gambia will open their 2017 WAFU Cup of
Nations campaign against the host Ghana on 9 September 2017 in Cape Coast.
