Following their 3-2 defeat to 2008-2009 league champions Armed Forces in the Week 17 fixtures a fortnight ago, Gambia Ports Authority have bounced back to their winning form in the Gambia Football Association’s division one league after thrashing academy boys Samger 3-0 in their re-scheduled Week 16 fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium at the weekend.

Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) opened the tally through striker Abdoulie Bah in the 25th minute of the game to secure the lead for the boys.

Cherno Njie doubled GPA’s lead in the 55th minute of the game before Tamsir Jammeh sealed the victory in the 75th minute to earn his side the maximum points at the expense of Samger.

Samger responded back for an equaliser but could not break through GPA’s defence and the game ended 3-0 in favour of GPA, who have now secured 26 points in seventeen games, while Samger have collected 23 points in seventeen games.
