Gambia experience donates schools

The Gambia Experience on Monday presented a cheque amounting to over D242, 115 to five schools across the country, at a presentation ceremony held at the Senegambia Beach Hotel in Kololi.

The beneficiaries were Niani Senior Secondary School, Baati Ndarr Lower Basic School, Kabafita Upper Basic, Pakalinding Upper Basic School and Kanuma Lower Basic School.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Fatou Mass Jobe Njie commended the Gambia Experience for the gesture, adding that the donated money would go a long way towards improving the beneficiary schools. She urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the money.

While urging the beneficiaries to take photographs of the projects with the school children upon completion, she implored the donors to invest in tourism.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Sainey Baldeh, a teacher at Kanuma Lower Basic School commended the donors for what he described as a timely gesture, and pledged that the donated money would be put to good use.
