Tunisia suffered a surprise reversal at home on Saturday, beaten 2-1 by the Gambia in their African Nations Cup warm-up international in Tunis.
It was a disappointing start for new coach Faouzi Benzarti, brought in after November's disappointment of narrowly missing out on World Cup qualification. Benzarti's much changed side went down in the second half to Cherno Samba's goal before American-based Sainey Nyassi added a second goal for the tiny West African country six minutes from the end of the game.
Tunisia managed a consolation four minutes into stoppage time at the end of the game when Amine Chermiti scored for the home team.
Tunisia open their African Nations Cup finals campaign on Wednesday when they take on Zambia in Lubango.
