Magistrate Tabally of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Ablie Secka to a mandatory jail term of five years with hard labour for stealing from a person.
Police prosecutor CPL Colley told the court that the convict was a fourth time offender.
According to the charge sheet, on 17November 2010, at Bakau Sanchaba, in the Kanifing Municipality, the convicted person, Ablie Secka, stole from one Saffie Ceesay, a mobile phone marked Blackberry valued at 350 euros, and a black purse containing 500 euros and D600.
