Current rumours in town have it that four senior staff of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) are likely to be sacked by the normalization committee because they are showing allegiance to the former GFA executive as well as hampering the work of the normalization committee.
The four staff to be axed by the GFA, according to the rumours, are Terema Dahaba; Kemo Ceesay, GFA accountant; Abdou Salam Jammeh, acting-secretary general at the GFA, and Kebba Masanneh Ceesay, assistant technical director at the GFA.
When contacted yesterday, Sunday, Omar Sey, spokesperson and vice chairman of the GFA Normalisation Committee, rejected the claims, saying they are “in the process of normalising and not sacking”.
Our sources also have it that the said staff would be given a three-month leave to allow the normalization committee to finalize its investigations on pertinent issues without interference.
