Former Upper Basic Student Needs Help

A former student of Latrikunda Upper Basic School is seeking assistance from government departments, NGOs and philanthropists to enable him continue his schooling at SOS Senior Secondary School.

Salifu Gaye, aged 15, has completed his grade nine at Latrikunda Upper Basic School with flying colors during the school year 2008/2009 GABECE exam.

According to Salifu Gaye's 2009 statement of results, Salifu sat for ten subjects and got aggregate 31.

Speaking to this reporter, Salifu Gaye's adopted mother Binta Ceesay said Salifu's biological father Karim Gaye had passed away five years ago, while his mother Ndey Drammeh is a disabled woman who cannot afford their daily needs.

According to Binta Ceesay, as of now Salifu is under her care at London Corner.

She said Salifu had already secured a place at SOS Senior Secondary School, but due to financial constraint he cannot make it to the said school. He can be reached on 9935717.
